Akelius is seeking a self motivated architectural design intern to join the architecture team.
The ideal candidate will provide support to our architects and designers for Akelius’ portfolio.
The successful candidate will be provided a positive learning and practical work experience,
while contributing toward the success of Akelius.
- collaborate with architects and designers in conceptualizing, developing, and presenting design solutions for projects
- maintain internal resource center, storing vendor sample and information for architecture team usage
- coordinate vendor and product presentations and educational sessions
- conduct calls with manufacturers and suppliers of interior and architectural materials
- provide initial evaluation of products and materials for consideration on firm projects
- collaborate with project team members, consultants, and contractors to ensure effective coordination and integration of approved components
- assist with administrative tasks such as, organizing project files, and maintaining project documentation
- conduct research on materials, building codes, and regulations to support project development
- perform other duties as needed
who you are
- currently enrolled in an accredited architectural program
- proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Teams,
and, Microsoft Office
- strong visual and graphic communication skills
- knowledge of architectural principles, building materials, and construction techniques
- ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- strong written and verbal communication skills
- basic knowledge of architectural building systems
- ability to effectively meet deadlines
