Job Description
Pyramid Healthcare has an extensive history of providing high-quality outpatient treatment in Eastern Pennsylvania. With comprehensive and individualized treatment plans, Pyramid Healthcare is an invaluable resource to adults and teens suffering from substance use, mental health, and/or eating disorders. We are currently seeking a Per Diem Art Therapist to join our amazing team of behavioral healthcare professionals. Location: This role would support our locations in Easton, Stroudsburg and Allentown in person.
Hours: Approximately 10 hours a week.
Pay: 35-45 per hour
Scope of Position & Technical Competency -:
• Conducts and facilitates art therapy and expressive treatment programs
• Prepares materials for facilitating sessions and or groups.
• Collaborates with other professionals in a team approach
• Assist Executive Directors in achieving excellent program survey results and making recommendations as needed to provide optimal service
• Evaluates behavioral and emotional needs of clients
• Participates in completing documents within the allowable time frames in collaboration with therapists
• Attends meetings regarding client’s progress.
• Attends trainings, staff meetings and supervision as needed and according to program standards.
• Maintains safe, orderly and therapeutic physical environment for clients including crisis intervention.
• Maintains ethical boundaries with clients.
• Travel to offices
• Other duties as deemed necessary.

• Demonstrates an understanding of addiction, mental health, eating disorder and complex conditions

• Population specific competency
Education, Experience:
1) Master level Art Therapist, ATR or ATR-BC strongly preferred
2) LPC or LCSW preferred, but not required
3) Trauma Informed Art Therapy or Trauma Informed Expressive Art Therapy Certification preferred
