Job Summary
We are seeking a Baker/ Oven to join the team at our busy bakery! In this role, you will prepare and bake a variety of breads. You will be responsible for the overnight shift. The ideal candidate has previous bakery experience and a passion for creating delicious breads The duties of this job, employees are regularly exposed to hot temperatures while working around bakery equipment. If you are creative, hardworking, and dependable, we’d like to hear from you!

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Open the bakery and prepare for the day ahead
• Clean and sanitize equipment and baking areas
• Bake a variety of breads, 
• Knows bakery equipment and procedures to ensure a quality product.
• Typical motions include repetitive hand and arm movements, repetitive grasping, lifting, bending, reaching, and exposure to extreme temperatures (coolers, freezer, outdoors, etc.)
• Responsible for moving or lifting an average of 10-60 pounds with a maximum weight lifted of 80 pounds occasionally
• Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Qualifications: 

• Previous experience as a baker, pastry chef, or in a similar role is preferred 
• Ability to use professional-grade kitchen appliances and equipment
• Knowledge of food safety practices
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced bakery environment
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Team player
• Available for late evening shifts.
• Ability to lift 25-50 lbs.
• Employee must be at least 18 years old.
• While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly exposed to hot temperatures while working around kitchen equipment.
