About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to lead its community plan in Tennessee. The CMO will be responsible for driving the quality and affordability of healthcare for the state's most vulnerable population, with a focus on achieving high-quality clinical outcomes, member and provider satisfaction, and leading healthcare transformation initiatives. This includes engaging in a population health model supported by integrated community care teams and a value-based payment model. The role demands a physician with a strong background in clinical practice, quality management, and a solid understanding of the managed care industry, particularly in the Medicaid sector. The CMO will also be accountable for clinical excellence, relationship equity, and state compliance, and must demonstrate the ability to lead and influence in a highly matrixed organization. Candidates for the CMO position at the company's community plan in Tennessee must have an active and unrestricted Tennessee medical license, be board-certified in a relevant specialty, and have at least 5 years of clinical practice experience. A proven track record of leadership, excellent communication, project management, and data analysis skills is essential. The CMO will be expected to drive change and innovation, with a strong emphasis on creating a culture of diversity and inclusion and reducing health disparities. The role requires a strategic thinker with the ability to build and lead a team, and to work effectively with external stakeholders, including government regulators and the medical community. A Master's degree in a related field is preferred, and the candidate should be located in or near Nashville, Tennessee, with the ability to travel within the state.
