Bring your drafting skills to this growing team near Saint Cloud, MN! Doherty Staffing is partnering with a leading building team located in Fairhaven, MN. We are seeking candidates for a Structural Drafter job opening. This position will be responsible for modeling, producing shop drawings, erection drawings and develop detailed drawings for the construction of rigid steel framed tension fabric structures using Tekla. Compensation for this direct hire role is $49,920-$62,400, depending on skills and experience.

What you will do as a Structural Drafter:

• Develop detailed drawings for the construction of rigid steel framed tensioned fabric structures using AutoCAD and Tekla
• Design structural steel buildings in accordance with verbal explanations, sketches, customer drawings, specifications, written descriptions/explanations and standard engineering practices
• Develop drawings for manufacture, components and assembly of tensioned fabric structures
• Prepare 2D/3D modeling’s of structures
• Review drawings for completeness and accuracy
• Detail and design using Tekla Structures to detail, check, model, create part drawings etc.
• Develop Bill of Materials utilizing Excel to produce a shipping list of fabric building parts and components for plant and customer use

What you'll bring to the Structural Drafter role:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Associates Degree in Drafting; experience may be substituted for schooling
• Experience with modeling software.
• Tekla structures experience. Preferred but not required
• Knowledge of construction and steel industry preferred, but not required
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
• Ability to work in a team environment with sales team, engineers, designers and drafters on projects
