Location:  Remote (March–April), Onsite in Los Angeles (April 24–26)
Duration:  Available immediately – End of April (approximately 20 hours a week in March and 30 hours a week in April)
Commitment:  Part-time/Freelance

About Us:

The Committee of 100 is a premier leadership organization dedicated to advancing U.S.-China relations and ensuring full inclusion of Chinese Americans in American society. We are seeking an  experienced Event Consultant  to support our upcoming  Los Angeles Conference & Gala (April 24–26, 2025) with a focus on  Cvent (Event Management), OnArrival, and Volunteer Management .

Responsibilities:

• Cvent Event Management: Oversee event registration, attendee communications, and platform optimization.
• OnArrival Implementation: Set up and manage onsite check-in, badge printing, and attendee tracking.
• Volunteer Coordination: Develop schedules, assign roles, and oversee volunteer training leading up to and during the event.
• Event Logistics Support: Assist with event preparation, troubleshoot issues, and ensure a seamless attendee experience.
• Onsite Execution: Travel to  Los Angeles and be onsite from  April 24–26to manage registration, volunteers, attendee check-in and other event tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience with  Cvent (Event Management & OnArrival) .
• Experience coordinating  volunteers for large-scale events.

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication and attention to detail.

• Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast paced environment and under pressure.

• Ability to work independently in a remote capacity and transition to onsite event support.
• Nonprofit and/or AANHPI community experience preferred but not required.
• Experience with high-profile events is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits:

Competitive freelance/consulting hourly rate, commensurate with experience. This is an independent contractor position and does not come with benefits.
