Fairview Baptist Church (Decatur, AL) – Worship Pastor
The Big Picture
Fairview Baptist Church (-streaming) seeks a full-time Worship Pastor.
Character and Theology :
• Meet the biblical qualifications of I Timothy 3 and Titus 1
• Agree with and support FBC’s Constitution
• Work alongside fellow pastors, deacons, and members of FBC
• No seminary education required
Corporate Worship :
• Collaborate with pastoral team to plan corporate worship services
• Lead congregation in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs
piano/keyboard skills preferred
• Format weekly worship guide, PowerPoint, and prayer list
Teaching and Preaching :
• Flexible depending on gifting, passions, and availability: pulpit fill, Sunday
school, teen and children’s classes, small groups, prayer meeting, etc.
• Equip Sunday school teachers and small group leaders
Finances and Facility : (full training provided)
• Partner with Treasurer for financial accountability
• Partner with Secretary to update church calendar, database, social media;
and to schedule monthly building inspections and maintenance
