Fuel Web Marketing is Based in St. Petersburg Florida, and our internet marketing firm specializes in comprehensive online marketing strategies to help businesses gain the competitive edge they need to succeed.

This is an entry-level web design and development position for website development projects as well as smaller initiatives, both internal and for client accounts. In this role, you will work closely with our Lead Developer, content management, SEO, and Account management teams, and may have some client-facing responsibilities including, but not limited to technical consulting of web development capabilities, asset creation for our client websites (modules, templates, themes, etc.), testing, email development, and client training.

Responsibilities:

• Using HTML, CSS, Vanilla JavaScript, to build and style web pages, landing pages, themes, templates, and general maintenance/updates to support Fuel Web Marketing’s clients as well as internally.
• Responsible for the success of Fuel Web Marketing website projects for our clients as well as internal web development initiatives.
• Loading and styling websites into GitHub and restyling them to match website’s branding.
• Responsible for collaborating and working with Development team, CEO, Client Success Managers, and internal designers to ensure the delivery of exceptional web products to our clients.
• Updating projects built in a variety of ways including:
  • HTML/CSS with Apache Server Side Includes
  • Jekyll/GitHub pages/markdown
  • WordPress
• Involvement in internal project management system and client portals to support with website design project phases including requirements gathering, wireframing, mockups, creating copy decks, design, development, internal testing, user testing, launch, and post-launch support.
• Utilize strong attention-to-detail to create quality code.
• Give realistic estimates of work and deliver on those timelines.
• Engage in self-learning activities to improve technical skills.
• Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and address issues as they arise.
• Support our Growth Driven Design initiatives to test and improve client websites.

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of front-end development experience including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, mobile responsiveness, and web development best practices.
• · Understanding of Ruby/Jekyll + GitHub Pages is a plus.
• · Proactive approach to finding answers and self-teaching.

Education:

• Bachelor's (Preferred) or equivalent experience.

Experience:

• JavaScript: 1 year (Preferred)
• HTML5: 1 year (Required)
• CSS: 1 year (Required)
