About Water 4 Life Guatemala:

Water 4 Life Guatemala is a small nonprofit organization dedicated to providing sustainable clean water solutions to rural and indigenous communities in Guatemala. Our mission is to improve health, education, and economic outcomes by ensuring access to safe drinking water. We partner with local communities, clean water initiatives, and other nonprofits to achieve our goals.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and committed individual to join our organization as the President and Board Member. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, operations, and sustainability of Water 4 Life Guatemala. The President will work closely with the Board of Directors and Executive members to advance our mission and vision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide visionary and strategic leadership to the organization.
• Oversee the implementation of the organization's programs and initiatives.
• Collaborate with the Board of Directors to develop and execute strategic plans.
• Ensure effective governance and adherence to nonprofit best practices.
• Represent Water 4 Life Guatemala in public forums, with donors, partners, and stakeholders.
• Foster a positive and inclusive organizational culture.
• Advise on fundraising efforts, including grant writing, donor relations, and partnership development.
• Oversee the organization's budget, financial planning, and reporting.
• Supervise and support the staff and volunteers.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in nonprofit leadership, management, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of issues related to water access, public health, and community development.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and networking skills.
• Experience in fundraising, grant writing, and donor engagement.
• Financial acumen and experience in budget management.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and individuals.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Fluency in English and Spanish is highly desirable.
• Passion for the mission and values of Water 4 Life Guatemala.

Commitment:

• This is a volunteer position with an expected commitment of approximately 10 hours per month.
• Attendance at quarterly board meetings and annual strategic planning sessions.
• Participation in key fundraising and community events as needed.
