The role you’ll contribute:

\n \n\n \n

The nurse manager is responsible and accountable for planning, organizing, coordinating and evaluating the management & clinical practice activities for the nursing unit(s) under his/her charge. He/she assumes 24 hour accountability for the OR and anesthesia departments for optimum quality patient care is delivered and staff is developed to exert care in a professional and caring manner. May be required to take call for the department.

• Prepares, analyzes, reviews and monitors operational and capital budgets for assigned unit(s).

\n \n\n \n
• Promotes customer satisfaction within unit.
\n \n
• Communicates effectively with staff.
\n \n
• Represents the Philosophy of Nursing and Administration.

• Participates in ongoing educational activities for Specialty area as well as management seminars.
\n \n\n \n\n

Qualifications

\n \n

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

\n \n\n \n\n

\n
• Current Florida RN License required
\n \n
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required
\n \n
• Three (3) years of management experience in Operating Room required
\n \n
• Five (5) years of nursing experience required with demonstrated leadership and management ability preferred.
\n \n
• MSN preferred
\n \n
• CNOR must be obtained within 6 months of hire
\n \n
• Demonstrates proficient use of English language in verbal and written form.
\n \n
• Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
\n \n
• Knowledge of regulatory agency requirements.
\n \n
• Use of EPIC preferred
\n \n\n \n\n
