About the Role

The Company is in search of a Vice President of Labor and Employment to join its corporate legal department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality, practical legal advice on a wide range of labor and employment issues, including but not limited to, human resources, wage and hour law, workers' compensation, unemployment, labor relations, and compliance with various federal and state employment laws. This role involves close collaboration with company executives, HR professionals, and outside counsel, as well as managing and supervising legal matters across multiple jurisdictions. Applicants must have a JD from an ABA-accredited law school, an active license to practice law, and a minimum of 7 years of experience in employment and labor law. The role requires a self-starter with excellent communication skills, the ability to operate with a high level of independence, and a proven track record in handling significant employment litigation and engaging in collective bargaining. The Vice President will also be involved in the development and enforcement of company policies, training HR staff, and representing the company in various legal proceedings. A strong sense of business acumen, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and a willingness to travel are essential for this position.
